Where it all began...
Before we get to a little about me, I want you to know, from the moment you hit 'send' on your enquiry, to the moment your photos are delivered, this experience is designed to be an easy-going and enjoyable one. I'd love to get to know you and find ways to tell your story that are unique to YOU so you can have images you ADORE all through your house!
My creative background is in scrap-booking (I still love it) so my photographic journey began with a desire to have purposeful groups of photos that tell the story and capture the memories with authenticity. The big events, yes, but also the day-to-day things that paint a realistic picture of the lives we lead.
Looking at photos inspires in us a sense of identity and connection to each other. From an artistic point of view, I like to think they provide space to ponder over ever-present questions ~ Who am I? Where do I belong? Who and what do I love? What can I learn from my past as I walk towards my future? This is the angle I come from when I'm in the zone with a camera in hand.
My supportive husband and I live with our children in West Auckland. I know how fast they grow ~ 'how the days are long but the years are short'. My style is all about documenting the moments in a natural and believable way so as the memories blur, our connection to the story remains.
